RST is the trim you buy for how it looks. The Z71 package underneath it says somebody had other plans --- off-road suspension, hill descent control, skid plates and the heavy-duty air filter.
The towing side is the better story. An integrated trailer brake controller, hitch guidance with hitch view, trailer camera provisions, and a trailer side blind zone alert that watches the length of a trailer instead of stopping at the tailgate --- plus an auxiliary transmission cooler behind the 5.3. That is a truck ordered by somebody who already owned the trailer.
